Wilf Wilkenson, the current President of Rotary International visited Ensenada on these two days. Wednesday, January 9 Rotary District 4100 (Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora and Sinaloa, Mexico) hosted a formal dinner at the Hotel Coral in President Wilf's honor. The Officers and Directors of Thousand Smiles were invited to the event. Six of them attended along with 3 guests. On Thursday, January 10 President Wilf and D4100 Governor Guadalupe Creo accompanied by several Rotarians visited the Thousand Smiles Clinic on Av. Mexico. After a tour of the clinic given by Bob Chalfa and Dr. Terry Tanaka, Carlos Rubio, President of the Ensenada Centenaria Rotary Club showed the group a video describing the history, mission and needs of Thousand Smiles.

After the tour and video President Wilf presented plaques on behalf of Thousand Smiles to Jose Antonio Borbolla and Dr. Ernesto Martinez for their tireless work on behalf of this project.
